SMS program and consent

EZChangeOrders, operated by Hi/Lo Ventures Group · Last updated 19 August 2026

EZChangeOrders is used by construction contractors to send a change order — a priced description of extra work — to their own customer for approval. This page describes the text messages the service sends, who receives them, and how consent is obtained.

Who receives a message

Only one kind of person: the specific customer a contractor is already doing work for, at a number that customer gave the contractor directly in the course of that job. Nobody is messaged from a purchased list, an import, a scrape or a referral. There is no marketing, promotional or advertising content in any message.

How consent is obtained

Consent is collected offline, by the contractor, from their own customer, as part of agreeing to do the work. The contractor then enters that number in the app.

Before the first message can be sent to a given person, the contractor must confirm the following statement on the send screen. The message cannot be sent until this box is ticked, and the confirmation is stored with a timestamp against that recipient:

The customer’s first message identifies the contractor by name, states what it is about, and includes opt-out instructions.

What the messages say

Every message is triggered by an action on a specific job — never by a schedule or a campaign. Sample messages, exactly as sent:

Streamline Construction sent you a change order to approve - $1,850.00. Job: 1155 Stanyan St Open it here. No app or account needed: https://approve.ezchangeorders.com/confirm.html?t=8f41c02e Nothing proceeds until you approve. Reply STOP to opt out. HELP for help.

Message frequency

Event-driven and infrequent. A typical customer receives one to four messages over the life of a job: one when a change order is sent, one if the contractor sends a reminder, and one when the contractor answers a question they asked. There is no recurring or scheduled messaging.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop all further messages from this service. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@ezchangeorders.com. Opt-out and help keywords are handled automatically by our messaging provider and are honoured immediately.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. EZChangeOrders does not charge the message recipient anything.

Privacy

Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS are never shared or sold to third parties, and are never shared with anyone for marketing purposes. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
